Industry
Oceanblu Chemicals LLP is a new joint venture company born from the synergy of Ivax Paper Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., India’s largest paper chemicals producer, and Acquaflex S.r.l., A leading Italian supplier of chemical specialties for paper mills. OceanBlu launches chemical technologies for use in the production processes of the paper industry to improve the efficiency of paper machines and increase the quality of the paper and cardboard produced. Our technologies allow us to design customized, innovative, safe solutions for operators and the environment, with the ability to meet current market demands and anticipate future needs. Manufacturing is carried out in a state-of-the-art facility near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.

The integrated approach adopted by OceanBlu for the prevention of deposits in the paper mill is based on specific technologies and skills developed by years of learning by both Acquaflex and Ivax. It makes it possible to obtain the desired degree of cleanliness of the paper machine and of the recycled water, guaranteeing the quality of the finished product, the efficiency and eco-sustainability of the production processes, and the optimization of energy consumption.

Innovative chemical products and advanced dosing equipment allow OceanBlu to inhibit the formation of inorganic deposits and minimize water consumption even in critical conditions with effective, safe solutions for plants and operators, respectful of the environment.
Pitch and
Stickies Control
OceanBlu has developed an exceptional technology to avoid defects generated by stickies and pitches on the paper. This technology also boosts the biocide treatment, keeping the machine clean and can be used in synergy with traditional anti-sticky treatment, such as talc, bentonite, etc. Blumate® technology is managed with a methodology of water analysis developed in our R&D lab.

Microbiological Control
We design biocide programs based on customer needs with our technical specialists. It integrates the use of oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals with dosage equipment and technical support to satisfy customer expectations by keeping the machine clean, reducing stoppage and breaks and giving profitability to the production process. All our products are safe and environmentally friendly.

OceanBlu’s innovative solutions for the conditioning of formation wire and felts use customisable, easy-to-use products and efficient dosing systems to guarantee the cleaning, in addition to the absence of deposits on their surface and inside, constant performance and an increase in average life – all this without significantly affecting the chemical and physical characteristics of the process water.

Section Screen and
Cylinder Passivation
Wiretec® technology was developed to give Paper Machines the possibility of chemical conditioning of the dryer section to prevent deposit formation and reduce breaks and stoppages caused by it. The product is combined with a spray bar with a specific moving nozzle that applies a protective film homogenously to the surface layer. Wiretec® prevents paper defects and breaks and increases the profitability of the papermaking process.
Special
Applications
- Blu Ultrawhite 555 is a specific chemical for Ultra White paper with the ability to reduce consumption of OBAs drastically while simultaneously increasing the whiteness of the final product.
- Blu 550 and 551 are a line of pulping and repulping chemicals with the ability to easily pulp paper with wet strength resin, tetra pak or to avoid defects caused by ink.
- For tissue sector, the Blusilk line of softeners has been developed which increases silkiness and bulk softness. Blusilk is applied in converting and avoids loss of mechanical resistance caused by softener dosed in mass in paper machines.
